What's New

The latest Bookit updates have been released to the live environment, introducing a series of enhancements across the platform. Take a look below to see what’s new, and reach out to our Support Team if you’d like more information.

Guest Console Confirmation Update

We've updated the confirmation message displayed after guests complete a bulk update in the Guest Console. While this is a small change, the revised wording provides clearer feedback so guests can more easily understand that their update has been completed successfully. This improvement helps reduce uncertainty and creates a smoother self-service experience.

Bookit Stay Updates (Accommodation Operators)

This release also includes several enhancements for operators using Bookit Stay. These updates are primarily relevant to accommodation operators and may not impact destination or visitor information centre users directly.

OTA Virtual Card Processing

Operators using Bookit Stay and ResOnline with a supported payment gateway can now securely receive and process Online Travel Agent (OTA) virtual cards directly within Bookit. This streamlined workflow removes the need for manual handling of card details, improves payment security, and supports ongoing PCI DSS compliance, making it easier to manage OTA payments from a single platform.

Multiple Tokenised Payment Cards

Bookit Stay now support multiple securely tokenised payment cards against a single booking. This enhancement provides greater flexibility for operators managing more complex payment scenarios, such as an OTA virtual card alongside a guest payment card, while ensuring all payment details remain securely managed through the connected payment gateway.

Flexible Booking Engine Payment Processing

Operators now have greater flexibility over when guest payments are processed. The Bookit Stay  booking engines support secure payment tokenisation at the time of booking, allowing payment details to be securely tokenised through a connected payment gateway and charged later in accordance with business policies. This enhancement also supports the retirement of the Credit Card Vault as part of Bookit's ongoing PCI DSS compliance program.
