This article explains how to use the Sales Breakdown report within Bookit Lite POS. The Sales Breakdown report provides a day-by-day view of retail sales, including products sold, returns, discounts, GST, and income generated.
Accessing the Sales Breakdown Report
1. Open the left-hand navigation menu.
2. Select Retail.
3. Select Sales Breakdown Report.
Understanding the Sales Breakdown Report
The Sales Breakdown report displays retail sales grouped by sale date.
For each day, products sold are listed individually, followed by a daily subtotal. A grand total is displayed at the bottom of the report for the selected date range.
Filtering the Report
Filters can be applied to narrow the sales results displayed.
Available filters include:
- From Date
- To Date
- Categories
- Sub Categories
- Registers
- Staff
Once filters have been selected, select View to update the report results.
Understanding the Report Columns
Available columns include:
- Product: Name of the product sold
- Sold: Quantity sold
- Returned: Quantity returned or refunded
- Retail (Pre-Discount): Retail value before discounts were applied
- Discount: Total discount value applied
- Retail: Final retail value after discounts
- Net Cost: Total cost of the products sold
- Net Income: Profit generated from the sale of the products
- GST: GST component of the sale
Exporting the Report
The Sales Breakdown report can be exported for further analysis or reporting.
Available export options include:
1. Export to CSV – opens the report data in Excel or Google Sheets.
