This article explains how cash rounding is applied to cash payments within Bookit Lite POS. Rounding automatically occurs when the transaction total cannot be paid using New Zealand cash denominations.
Understanding Cash Rounding
Cash rounding only applies when paying by cash.
Rounding rules
- Totals ending in .00 will not round.
- Totals ending in .01, .02, .03, or .04 round down.
- Totals ending in .05, .06, .07, .08, or .09 round up.
Viewing Rounded Totals
When rounding applies, the POS transaction will display the adjusted values.
The transaction may display:
- Product description = Rounding
- Rounded amount to pay
- Amount tendered
- Change given
Rounding values will also display on:
- Receipts
- Tax invoices
- Sales reports
