What's New in Bookit

Overview

This release advances three strategic programmes — payment gateway modernisation, Bookit Lite, and Enterprise Distribution — alongside meaningful improvements to booking accuracy, availability management, and platform security.

Payment Gateway Modernisation

Bookit is modernising how payments are handled across the platform — moving to hosted iFrame checkout and 3D Secure authentication to reduce checkout friction for guests, strengthen fraud protection for operators, and reduce PCI compliance scope. This work spans multiple releases and continues to progress this sprint.

Centralised gateway management As part of the gateway modernisation programme, payment gateway configuration is now managed centrally by the Bookit team. This ensures all gateway settings are validad and applied consistently across the platform, reducing the risk of configuration errors that can affect payment processing.

Automated protection against gift voucher card fraud Following a card-washing attack targeting online gift voucher purchases in February, automated detection and containment is now in place. If a gift voucher product is identified as being used in a carding attack, it is automatically disabled for online sale and the support team is alerted immediately.

Bookit Lite

Beta — coming soon

Bookit Lite is a new product that enables visitor centres and iSITE operators to book and sell products from the Bookit marketplace directly from their point-of-sale console — without needing to manage those products themselves. Bookit Lite is currently in beta and will be available to eligible operators in a future release.

The first end-to-end Lite flow is now available (Beta) Bookit staff can now link a Lite console to a marketplace partner and configure an affiliate profile, enabling a Lite agent to authenticate and make bookings against the marketplace catalogue. This feature is currently in preview.

Enterprise Distribution

The Enterprise Marketplace connects operators to distribution partners — allowing their products to be sold through affiliate and reseller channels. This is a Plus module — contact your Bookit account manager if you'd like to know more.

Marketplace reporting now respects user roles (Plus module) Access to Marketplace Booking Reports and Marketplace Integration Setup is now controlled by user role rather than just module access. Administrators can grant or restrict access per user, giving visitor centres more precise control over who can view distribution data and who can manage integration settings.

Booking & Payment Accuracy

$0 payments can now be auto-reconciled in one action Finance staff no longer need to step through void payments one by one. On the Payments Today page, clicking Reconcile now automatically processes all $0 payments in a single action. A new "Exclude Void Payments" filter lets you hide them from your view entirely if you prefer to focus only on payments requiring manual attention.

Improvements to booking amendment accuracy A number of issues affecting bookings amended through the Guest Portal have been resolved, ensuring rate types and booking details are retained correctly throughout the alteration workflow.

Payment visibility improvements Enhancements to how payment records are displayed ensure transactions are accurately reflected across Payments Today and itinerary views.

Availability Management

Closure reasons are now required and fully reportable (Plus module) For parks and enterprise operators, any change to room availability now requires staff to enter a reason before the change is saved. Every change is recorded against the room, date, staff member, and timestamp. A new Closure and Availability Report lets you filter that history by park, location, date range, or staff member and export to CSV or Excel.

Closure audit filters extended (Plus module) The Room Availabilities Audit now supports filtering by Location and by the date a change was recorded. Administrators can isolate changes by geographic grouping or narrow results to a specific audit window.

Console & Experience

Mobile booking experience improvements An issue affecting guests selecting dates on mobile devices has been resolved across the Accessible Accommodation and Wikicamps booking widgets.

Console accessibility improvements Icon colours and header contrast across the Enterprise and Destinations consoles have been updated to improve accessibility and align with the 2026 Bookit brand refresh.

Payment Gateway Modernisation

Continued progress on the gateway modernisation programme, with a focus on completing verification of iFrame and 3D Secure support across Stripe and Cybersource.

Bookit Lite (Beta)

The next phase expands the Lite product into POS payment and booking sync, and core booking management — giving Lite operators the ability to manage and reconcile bookings made through their console.

Enterprise Distribution

Improvements to distribution reporting and affiliate management tooling, building on the permissions layer shipped in R10.

Availability Management (Plus module)

Bulk unit closure and archive sites move from design into implementation, delivering two capabilities scoped and validated this sprint.
